is a passionate advocate of the power of well-functioning Teams. We often work with companies who are not fully benefiting from their team structures due to weak team dynamics. TeamWorks emphasizes the need for investment in teams and we provide seminars and workshops that will measurably improve team output.

TeamWorks will utilise a variety of tools and techniques to suit your specific team profile/ dynamic. We run workshops to coach managers on how to run a well performing team. Building a High Performance Team

TeamWorks is well positioned to guide your team on its journey to performing with excellence. We are able to equip you with tools that enable and empower your team members so that they take accountability for your team's progress.

TeamWorks believes that becoming a high performing team is a process and we use the following steps to help move your team into the high performance zone:

1. Team understand what a High Performance Team is and the benefits of teamwork.
Basic understanding of the steps to become a good team.
2. Team buys into a shared goal and desired culture for the team.
3. Team builds trust and respect for each other. Team leverages diversity.
4. Team practice working together & learn to problem solve together.
5. Team looks at personal interaction: 1) 'storming' in a controlled way.
6. Team looks at personal interaction: 2) when to coach & learn. How to help. Individual preferences.
7. Team have fun as a group and understand their interests outside of work.

 

TeamWorks is able to provide guidance on:

  • How to set and maintain team direction through effective objective setting.
  • Effective leadership.
  • How to define the roles of each individual within the team.
  • How to develop efficient systems to ensure an objective is met.
  • Effective communication including the giving and receiving of feedback.
  • How to build and nurture trusting relationships.

Through a short consultation session, we will help you to determine where your team sits with regards to the Team Effectiveness model and will suggest key interventions that will give direction to your progress.

Belbin

One of the key tools that TeamWorks uses to inspire high performance teams is the Belbin team role methodology. TeamWorks is Belbin Accredited and we use our Belbin expertise as a key tool in the team development process.

Through a series of online or manual perception questionnaire TeamWorks is able to draw up a unique profile for each participant. This profile provides counseling on the roles that an individual is most comfortable playing within a team.

After the profiles have been created, TeamWorks will then lead a session on the effective use of the profile information within the workplace.

General

We normally hold our events outdoors and/ or in interesting locations. We believe in experiential learning and the power of doing something different in a group as a bonding mechanism.

With this in mind we often use Lapalala Wilderness Area and other similar venues to bring people together in a profound way, be it wilderness walks, sleeping under the stars, gathering firewood, or cooking together over an open fire.

However, our activities can be equally as powerful when held within your own offices. The key is to minimize distractions and allow for full engagement within the learning process.

In certain exercises that we run TeamWorks has an 80% success rate of guessing which team will win ��� without meeting the people! This is the power of teams and we will help you unlock this power.
